Can't Think Straight is a genre-fluid podcast adapted from a community radio show on KDVS 90.3 FM. Started in the fall of 2019 out of Davis, California, the show was a Public Affairs show on KDVS, the student and community run radio station affiliated with the University of California Davis. When Abbey (they/them) proposed the idea for an explicitly queer show with a non-binary person at the helm they were told this had never been done before. The show has evolved into part interview-stlye talk show and part social commentary from the host's and our guest's unique perspectives, with a focus on queer and trans identity. Britney (she/her) was invited to be a co-host and podcast partner at Can't Think Straight when it was anticipated to be on the air in Spring 2020. However, the podcast's launch is a direct response to the station being closed in March as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. We are so glad to be back and launching the queer and trans podast of our dreams!
