Chronicler's Cast

About

Welcome to the Chronicler’s Cast, a fantasy storytelling podcast. My name is Chris and I will be your host through various stories to tell in another world. I often find myself writing stories and sometimes telling them through my role as a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons. As a social studies teacher at a small school, I play host to the D&D club making me one of their Dungeon Masters and their Lore Master. I draw my literary inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien and the many great stories he told us from Middle-Earth and all his Legendarium. Along with many other works in the fantasy genre. Some of the names and associations might sound familiar to other popular culture references, this is because the students have drawn inspiration from many places. All references are being used in “fair use”. I also draw inspiration from my students whose imagination is never endless. I am using elements from D&D 5e and its various compendiums along with other elements borrowed from 3.5e, I know most people have their preferences but these are the ones I am most familiar with and I use 5e with my students every week.     The format of this podcast is to create one-offs or short stories to tell through several episodes at a time. I want to provide entertainment but also a rich experience for my audience. I know that I am only starting out on this new venture, but I wanted to make it something important and close to my heart. Storytelling. There have been plenty of other podcasts that tell stories, but they aren’t my podcast. I wish to add my voice to the narrative. I also will do short news episodes through the new Skill Check Podcast aimed at a minor discussion about certain things in what I call “nerd culture”. I also will use those short updates to answer questions and talk about the story episodes.     So without further ado, I would like to introduce you to the world of Khazmodia, a world full of fantasy and adventure. The center of my stories will take place in a kingdom called Ascalon set during the actual D&D campaign my students are playing in now. This world has been created by me with collaboration by my D&D club. I hope you enjoy the world of Khazmodia as much as we do.
