PSALMS 78, DEUTERONOMY 7, SAIAH 56

GIVE ear, O my people, to my Torah: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of Yahuah, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he has done. For he established a testimony in Ya`aqov, and appointed a Torah in Yashar'el, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in Elohiym, and not forget the works of El, but guard his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose ruach was not stedfast with El. The children of Ephrayim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They did not guard the covenant of Elohiym, and refused to walk in his Torah; And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had showed them. Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Mitsrayim, in the field of Tso'an. He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as a heap. In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. And they sinned yet more against him by provoking El Elyon in the wilderness. And they tempted El in their heart by asking meat for their lust. Yea, they spoke against Elohiym; they said, Can El furnish a table in the wilderness? Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? Therefore Yahuah heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Ya`aqov, and anger also came up against Yashar'el; Because they believed not in Elohiym, and trusted not in his yeshu`ah: Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the grain of heaven. Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens: and by his power he brought in the south wind. He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations. So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths, The wrath of Elohiym came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Yashar'el. For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble. When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and inquired early after El. And they remembered that Elohiym was their Rock, and El Elyon their Redeemer. Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues. For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant. But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passes away, and comes not again. How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted El, and limited the Holy One of Yashar'el. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy. How he had wrought his signs in Mitsrayim, and his wonders in the field of Tso'an: And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink. He sent diverse sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labor unto the locust. He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost. He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; And smote all the firstborn in Mitsrayim; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Cham: But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased. He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Yashar'el to dwell in their tents. Yet they tempted and provoked ELOHIYM ELYON, and did not guard his testimonies: But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images. When Elohiym heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Yashar'el: So that he forsook the Tabernacle of Shiyloh, the tent which he placed among men; And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand. He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance. The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage. Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation. Then Adonai awoke as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouts by reason of wine. And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach. Moreover he refused the Tabernacle of Yoceph, and chose not the tribe of Ephrayim: But chose the tribe of Yahudah, the Mount Tsiyon which he loved. And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he has established forever. He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Ya`aqov his people, and Yashar'el his inheritance. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands. TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 78

WHEN Yahuah Elohaykem shall bring you into the land whither you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Chittiym, and the Girgashiym, and the Emoriym, and the Kena`aniym, and the Perizziym, and the Chivviym, and the Yevuciym, seven nations greater and mightier than you; And when Yahuah Elohayka shall deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall cut no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them: Neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not give unto his son, nor his daughter shall you take unto your son. For they will turn away your son from following me, that they may serve other elohiym: so will the anger of Yahuah be kindled against you, and destroy you suddenly. But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their Asherah poles, and burn their graven images with fire. For you are a holy people unto Yahuah Elohayka: Yahuah Elohayka has chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. Yahuah did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because Yahuah loved you, and because he would guard the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, has Yahuah brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Phar'oh king of Mitsrayim. Know therefore that Yahuah Elohayka, he is Elohiym, the faithful El, which guards his covenant and mercy with them that love him and guard his commandments to a thousand generations; And repays them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hates him, he will repay him to his face. You shall therefore guard the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command you this day, to do them. Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken את to these judgments, and guard, and do them, that Yahuah Elohayka shall guard unto you the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto your fathers: And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: he will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, and your wine, and your oil, the increase of your kine, and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore unto your fathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And Yahuah will take away from you all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Mitsrayim, which you know, upon you; but will lay them upon all them that hate you. And you shall consume all the people which Yahuah Elohayka shall deliver you; your eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shall you serve their elohiym; for that will be a snare unto you. If you shall say in your heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? You shall not be afraid of them: but shall well remember את what Yahuah Elohayka did unto Phar'oh, and unto all Mitsrayim; The great temptations which your eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby Yahuah Elohayka brought you out: so shall Yahuah Elohayka do unto all the people of whom you are afraid. Moreover Yahuah Elohayka will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from you, be destroyed. You shall not be frightened at them: for Yahuah Elohayka is among you, a mighty El and terrible. And Yahuah Elohayka will put out those nations before you by little and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon you. But Yahuah Elohayka shall deliver them unto you, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. And he shall deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them. The graven images of their elohiym shall ye burn with fire: you shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto you, lest you be snared therein: for it is an abomination to Yahuah Elohayka. Neither shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be a cursed thing like it: but you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing. DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 7:1-26

THUS says Yahuah, Guard ye judgment, and do justice: for my yeshu`ah is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of A'dam that lays hold on it; that guards the Shabbath from polluting it, and guards his hand from doing any evil. Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to El-Yahuah, speak, saying, Yahuah has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For thus says Yahuah unto the eunuchs that guard my Shabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to Yahuah, to serve him, and to love the name of Yahuah, to be his servants, everyone that guards the Shabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their ascending smoke offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all people. Adonai Yahuah which gathers the outcasts of Yashar'el says, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, everyone for his gain, from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant. YESHA'YAHU (ISAIAH) 56:7-12
