Owner-Operator Franchisee, Ann Benes (Episode 6 of 6 in the Fibrenew Business Models Miniseries)

Owner-Operator Franchisee, Ann Benes (Episode 6 of 6 in the Fibrenew Business Models Miniseries)

Thank you for joining us for installment 6 of 6 in a miniseries focused on showcasing the various types of business models that exist within Fibrenew.

Ann Benes of Fibrenew Lincoln, Nebraska, has been a proud owner/operator of her franchise for over 20 years! Ann and her husband, Pat, were the 13th franchise in the US when they came on board in 2002. The way their partnership works is that Pat operates the family farm, and Ann operates the Fibrenew business. They will, of course, periodically help each other out on either side of the fence, but for the most part, Ann runs the franchise as a sole owner-operator.

In this conversation, Ann talks about the 50/50 split she's established between commercial and private work and how that helps her manage the cash flow in the business. We also touch on goal setting. We talk about mid-west customer service etiquette, building rapport with clients, how to this day, she remains a student of the business, and what she's thinking about when it comes to eventual succession.

Thanks for joining us, and we hope you enjoy listening to this conversation with Ann.
