Extra Episode: Everything D4vd Has Been Charged With

Smooth breaks down all the charges facing rapper D4vd (David Anthony Burke) following his arrest in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Walking through the actual court footage and California penal code, Smooth outlines each charge: two counts of felony continuous sexual abuse of a child (6–32 years), first-degree murder with three special circumstances financial gain, murder to prevent testimony, and lying in wait (25 to life each), use of a deadly weapon (1–3 additional years), and three counts of mutilating human remains (3–9 years). On the low end, if everything ran concurrently, Smooth calculates D4vd is looking at a minimum of 35 years to life. At 21 years old, that means he wouldn't be eligible for release until his mid-50s at the absolute earliest. Smooth says the lewd acts with a minor and body mutilation charges appear airtight, while the murder charge may require more work from prosecutors.
