Listen Local - S2 Ep 24 - Best Christmas Ever

Listen Local - S2 Ep 24 - Best Christmas Ever

With Thanksgiving now in the rearview mirror, that means it's officially Christmas season, and here in the BLA that is definitely one of the "most wonderful times of the year." From the hallmark-looking towns, to our community coming together, there's no better place in the world to be!

On the note of community coming together, we felt that since this is the first post-thanksgiving episode, it's the perfect time to bring in Don Liimatainen, who is the creator and founder of the Best Christmas Ever Movement. The BCE Movement has been near and dear to Colton's heart as Woods to Water will be going on their third year as being a captain and sponsor, and MN Traders Co. entering their first year. Along many other topics, Don tells the story of how BCE got started with just one family, to now helping families in more than 13 states, as well as parts of Canada. If this doesn't give you goosebumps (in a good way) then we don't know what will.

Also on this episode, Isaiah (who now calls himself the Wandering Woodsman we guess), goes out and about and ends up at the Nisswa Chamber to catch up with our friend and Chamber Director, Pam Dorion to discuss everything Nisswa City of Lights. This year is going to be HUGE out there. It is the 40th Anniversary, and first after covid-year, so you know Pam and the crew will be going ALL OUT! Listen in as she gives a little tidbit of what to expect when you visit the City of Lights Friday night.

And of course.... what would an 'entering Christmas season' episode be without some top Christmas movies debate. Home Alone 1 and 2? Elf? A Christmas Story? Die Hard? Christmas Vacation? Find out what the guys pick as their top movie.
