When we really think about spending time with the people with whom we are close, we often think of times of restful pleasures. The friends with whom I go on the annual trout fishing trip share a comfort and ease with one another that is reflective of the slow-paced and energy-replenishing activity of fishing. Would it surprise you to see that Jesus treasured “down time” with His friends and looked forward to getting away with them for some rejuvenation?
