An aging comedian is put face to face with his decisions after learning of a rare disease that will likely kill him. In his loneliness, he aims to explore what the rest of his life can be, much like the experimental medicine coursing through his veins. Taking on a protégé of sorts, patching things up with family, and trying to rekindle lost love all acting as steps along this rocky journey where he fails as often as he succeeds. Can he change?
