Sukkot: The LORD provides! Joyously celebrate together in our temporary dwellings.

Sukkot, "Festival of Booths", is a Torah commanded holiday celebrated for seven days referring to the protection God provided for the Israelites during their 40 year trek through the desert. It is a joyful time of communal celebration of the ingathering, a celebration of gathering in the final harvest. This foreshadows the celebration of God's final ingathering of the harvest of His redeemed people through His Salvation, Yeshua Ha Meshiach. The Torah portion returns to Exodus 33-34, God's glorious "self revelation" to Moses, the "13 attributes": 34:6-7 "The LORD,the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation." 34:14 God is a jealous God, and He wants 100% of our affection and us to be a holy people, conformed 100% to the image of His Son through the work of the Holy Spirit. The Haftorah, Ezekiel 38-39 and New Covenant 1 Thessalonians 5 assures us that in the end, our God reigns! "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up"
