The Spirit of Wisdom: The happiness of Torah

The reading for Simchat Torah is both the end and the beginning again of the Torah as the holiday marks the time when the scrolls end and are turned back to the beginning. The story ends with Moses at 120 years undiminished in strength, walking down the road with Joshua and Eleazar past the Israelites arranged by tribes being acknowledged by them who are grieving the departure of their great leader. He continues to the mountain top where God almighty shows Moses the land of promises, which Moses won't apparently enter because of previous sin. Moses then departs the story alone and the location of his sepulcher remains unknown. We as followers of Yeshua have the blessing of meeting Moses later in the story at the Mount of Transfiguration, in the presence of the light and power of Yeshua. Moses who saw the backside of God and the blazing light of Yeshua! As our great leader departs he passes on the responsibility of leadership and obedience to Joshua who has Ruach Hochma, the Spirit of wisdom. In perfect fashion as the Torah ends it immediately begins back at creation. There we see the unformed void and darkness was upon the deep. The Creator, the great I AM, sends Ruach Elohim the Spirit of God out and creates, “Let” there be light. Immediately He separates light and dark, day and night. He is a God of boundaries not blurred boundaries but fixed boundaries and He saw that it was good! In the same Torah portion we see the creation of the natural revelation by God through the Holy Spirit in "the beginning" and "the end" of God's special revelation of Torah! The revelation of how to live with a holy God, who is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, full of steadfast love, and truth, forgiving and holding us to account. the blessings of obedience, the command to love God with all our hearts, 100%! Ruach Hochma the Spirit of Wisdom! Oh the happiness of Torah!
