Alex is a United States Air Force veteran. With his GI bill, he decided to go to school and get his Masters in entrepreneurship.
After stints working for both the Orlando Magic and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he decided to pursue his own business venture and opened the first Pup's Pub in Tampa, Florida. Pup's Pub is a bar centered around visitors bringing their dogs with them. The bar has been such a success that him and his team just opened a second location in Downtown Orlando, Florida.
As a passionate business owner, Alex considers Pup's Pup to be at the forefront of the dog bar concept, and the bars' success have certainly proven that to be true.
We discuss the crazy backstory of all of the hurdles him and the team overcame to get the bars opened while navigating the uncertain waters of an industry that they are essentially creating the standard for as they go.
We also talk about the successes that him and the team have had in being leaders in branding and marketing and by executing smart and strategic local partnerships with a focus on growing and cultivating an overall strong local presence.
