Hey there, and welcome back to SoulTalk by Mdrn Woman. For me, when I hear a story and I can identify with it, I feel a sense of camaraderie, can say “I'm not alone.” And in the stories of my sisters, I find inspiration, healing and strength to grow. I hope you discover that too in these stories. I'm Aleshia Nicole, the founder of Mdrn Woman, and I'm so very excited and grateful that you chose to tune in.
I don't know about you, but this series has been really deep and thought-provoking. It really spurred me to own the narrative of my life, all the good and the ugly and the imperfect, and to make of it what I want, despite any hindrances I've experienced. In this segment we really deal with owning the narrative of our own lives as women. Not to the exclusion of men mind you, rather to the inclusion of our own voices…if I can put it that way. I”m not going to keep you from the goodness that is in this next part of the story, so let's listen in, shall we?
