Avoiding pride and selfishness is only the beginning; biblical humility is all about strategic teamwork. Because they believe in their cause and in their team, humble people do their best to play their own parts well. They never stop learning and never give up.

We must follow well and lead well. Joshua was the ultimate servant and the perfect spy long before he became one of the greatest leaders ever—and for all the same reasons. He was brave and successful because he trusted God fully and did his best in every role he was given.

Exodus 17:8-16, 24:13, 32:17-19, and 33:8-11, Numbers 13-14, Joshua 1-6

We must do our best and never stop learning. Intentionally focusing more on God and others includes trusting, obeying, and constantly seeking God's will—and then reaching out to others. The question is never if but why and how, and we learn by doing.

Psalm 111:10, Matthew 28:18-20, John 14:21, Mark 9:35 & 10:35-45, Philippians 2:1-11, Isaiah 42-43

We must work together and never give up. As a unified team, we must do our absolute best to please God. Rejecting sin and fruitless distractions is a crucial first step—but only the first one.
