"Your spouse will be worth the wait" might seem like a very Christiany thing to say. At times, it can be hard to hear. I know for me I have always struggled with believing that this waiting season is beneficial and necessary but, as time has passed I've realized that it really is important. This is the time to start growing on your own, shaping your life, healing traumas, and strengthening your relationship with God!
