Football, Football, Football Part Two with Charlie Mullan

In this episode, Charlie Mullan and I discuss this Sunday's Super Bowl LVI between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. First, with the Super Bowl happening in LA, I wanted to know how big the Super Bowl is in the United Kingdom. Charlie says that it is massive in England. He has been following the game since the 1980s. Super Bowls used to air on the radios before becoming a big spectacle. One big difference for British football fans is the 11:30 p.m. start in England. Despite the late start, England will watch the Super Bowl until 3:00 a.m. or so Monday morning. We then discuss Charlie's favorite Super Bowl memories. With Charlie being a huge Miami Dolphin fan, he shows off his hatred of the San Francisco 49ers for beating Dan Marino and the Dolphins in Super Bowl XIX. He mentions William "The Refrigerator" Perry scoring fa touchdown for the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XX. Santonio Holmes' toe-tap catch ranks near the top of Charlie's memorable plays. The discussion switches to how English football fans bet the Super Bowl. British fans often ask Charlie for betting advice. Many fans use this event as an opportunity to throw a few dollars or pounds. We then discuss our favorite bets and props for Sunday's Super Bowl. One thing I often like to do during Super Bowl week is test my guests. We test each other with Super Bowl records, questions, knowledge, and stats. Finally we conclude this episode by picking the Super Bowl. Both of us like the Rams to win in LA.
