2022 NFL Schedule Release with Alex Bleuel

2022 NFL Schedule Release with Alex Bleuel

In today's episode, Alex Bleuel and I look back at last night's 2022 NFL Schedule Release, which revealed the entire 2022 NFL schedule. We look forward to the NFL's first game between the Buffalo Bills and defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams. We both cannot wait to see this game between two of the NFL's best teams on Sep. 8 in LA. The Bills possess one of the NFL's most exciting quarterbacks in Josh Allen. Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis lead Buffalo's receivers. The Bills will also bring one of the NFL's top defenses with former Ram, Von Miller, joining the party in Western New York. The Rams offense is led by one of the MFL's best quarterback-receiver duos in Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. LA's defense is led by the NFL's best defensive player in Aaron Donald. Shutdown corner Jalen Ramsey leads a strong Rams secondary. After that opening chat, we turn our attention to Alex's Dolphins and my Jaguars. We look at Jacksonville's schedule, which begins with a Week 1 trip to the Washington Commanders. In this game, Jacksonville will be looking to end a 17-game road losing streak and a 16-game losing streak against NFC teams. The Jags then take on the Colts before a Week 3 encounter against the LA Chargers. Week 4 offers a Doug Pederson homecoming as the former Eagles coach leads the Jags to Philadelphia against the Eagles. A four game stretch against the Broncos, Raiders, Chiefs, and Ravens threatens to test 2021 No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jags. Onto Miami, the Dolphins begin their 2022 campaign against the New England Patriots. After a Week 2 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens, the Fins face the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. After an easier stretch, a five-game stretch against the 49ers, Chargers, Bills, Packers, and Pats will surely have plenty to say about whether Miami will be a playoff game in January. We then discuss which teams got a scheduling break with last night's release. Alex likes the Steelers, which do not leave the Eastern time zone at all this season. I like Pennsylvania's other team - the Eagles, which do not face many top passers except Arizona's Kyler Murray. The discussion changes to our favorite game on the 2022 season. I am looking forward to another game between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. After their Super Bowl LV loss, the Chiefs will be looking for revenge against the GOAT in another fantastic Sunday Night Football thriller. I also bring up how the Bucs played in TB12's homecoming to Foxboro in Week 4 last year Alex likes the 19-year age difference in a Week 15 dual between Joe Burrow and the Bengals against the Bucs. This game would be the first meeting between Burrow and Brady. Finally, this episode ends with our favorite revenge game. Alex picks Russell Wilson's return to Seattle in Monday Night Football's opener between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. I pick Mike McCarthy's return to Green Bay as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers in a Week 10 showdown. McCarthy spent 13 years as the Packers head coach, where he won Super Bowl XLV in Arlington. Dallas will also remember whether Dez Bryant caught a Tony Romo pass in the 2014 Divisional Playoff game between the Cowboys and Packers.
