2022 U.S. Open Preview with NagelsBagels

In this episode, Nagels Bagels and I preview the 2022 U.S. Open at the Country Club. We start by looking at The Country club, which will play host to the 122nd U.S. Open. While length has been a major factor at several majors, this year's U.S. Open will not be entirely defined by power. we both believe accuracy will matter in keeping the ball on the narrow fairways and small greens. While length is not necessary, the biggest hitters will have an advantage on their approach shots. We also look at good course comparisons. Nagels references Pebble Beach with its small greens. I like Merion and The Olympic Club as similar courses for The Country Club. We announce our favorite bets for the U.S. Open. Nagels likes Jordan Spieth, Brooks Kopeka, and Hideki Matsuyama. I like Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Sungjae Im, and Bryson DeChambeau. Before announcing our picks, we give our favorites for who will be the chalky DraftKings play at Brookline. Nagel believes Justin Rose offers good value after his final-round 60 in Canada at $7,100. He also won his major at Merion, which is somewhat similar to this course setup. I believe DFS players will use Matthew Fitzpatrick at $8,500. We then give our winning picks. Nagel likes Jordan Spieth while I believe Rory will carry his win from Canada to capture his second U.S. Open.
