NASCAR Playoffs Preview with FantasyBosco

In this episode, FantasyBosco and I look back at Sunday's Coke Zero Sugar 400 and preview NASCAR's Cup Series Playoffs, which begins at Darlington for the Southern 500 Sunday night. First, we look at how Austin Dillon survived Sunday's rain and big-ones to book his spot in the playoffs. After being involved in an earlier crash, Dillon was in the middle of the pack when light rain showers fell - causing a massive crash on lap 138. Dillon just squeaked through everyone to take the lead. After a lengthy rain delay, Dillon bumped Austin Cindric to take the lead and secure his spot in the playoffs. Dillon has won four Cup Series races, but how he has won those races intrigues us. He has won arces with other drivers running out of gas, bumping Aric Almirola to win the 2018 Daytona 500, a perfect caution in Texas, and Sunday's win. In hose four wins, Dillon has led just 35 laps. Richard Childress teammate Tyler Reddick led 38 laps when he won at Indy in July. After another wrecked race cars at Daytons, NASCAR heads to Darlington's Labor Day Weekend for the Cook Out Southern 500. Like almost all races, tires will be a major topic. With Darlington known for tire wear, drivers will need to blend speed and managing tires on Sunday night. Any little mistake can result in a car receiving a famous Darlington Stripe. With the Cup series Playoffs beginning this weekend, we ask questions about some of the favorite playoff drivers? Is Chase Elliott the favorite to win his second title in three years? Can Kevin Harvick continue his winning ways? Is Kyle Larson back to his 2021 or continuing his inconsistent 2022? What will happen next to Kyle Busch on and off the track? Can Denny Hamlin finally get over the championship hump? Bosco tries to stump me with some unique trivia after hearing Bubba Wallace will drive the No. 45 car in pursuit of the Owner's Championship. Finally, we give our four drivers to make the Championship 4 at Phoenix in November. Bosco likes Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Joey Logano. I like Kyle Larson, Elliott, Hamlin, and Christopher Bell.
