Opening Monologue:
"Pregnancy and giving birth is a beautiful thing! It keeps the world populated and creates bonds, extensions to family lifelines. We all support the mom throughout the 40 weeks including the baby shower pregnancy cravings etc and then the baby comes! Everyone asks the same million dollar questions “how does the baby sleep, eat gives advice on how their grandmas or moms raised them....All great right? but the one question never gets asked correctly “how are YOU doing?” After your hormones are out of wack for 9 months they go into over drive trying to go back to normal making the 4th trimester difficult for you to cope. From recovery to breastfeeding in today's society we will try to give you some insight on how women cope with their mental health and why its important we today are overwhelmed and overlooked as black women." - Urs
