Episode 11: Mother's Day Musings with The Green Mamma

Episode 11: Mother's Day Musings with The Green Mamma

On today's episode we welcome @thegreenmamma, Danielle Rysavy. Danielle shares her journey of living green and how it started from a young age, watching her own mother.

Danielle made her way to Humboldt State where she was introduced to a new level of learning how to take care of the earth and that the earth will in turn take care of you. She found her way into the essential oils business through her pregnancy, knowing that she wanted a natural birth and that she would need tools to help. This led her deeper into using plants to heal and support her system and that of her children. We discuss the traditional medical system and how sometimes it can feel isolating when you're trying to use more natural approaches. Danielle is an example of staying in your power and listening to your own intuition as a mother. She shares some of the practices that she uses and how her son is learning by watching her. I love Danielle's non-judgmental approach and how, no matter where we are, we can take small steps toward making our lives more clean and green. Danielle shares her spiritual path, coming from a family with both Jewish and Christian backgrounds, and searching for her place of belonging. We discuss the spiritually aware children who are incarnating right now to help heal the planet and how having parents who support them and their gifts of connection is so important. Danielle shares her experience of being a doula and helping postpartum mothers in the first few weeks after birth as well as her wisdom of finding community to support you through motherhood. We then guide an affirmation meditation for mothers. Tune in for an expansive episode!
