They allowed the Wildcats 203 rushing yards for nearly five yards per rush with 303 passing on 35 attempts behind a backup quarterback. Caleb Williams completed 14 of 25 for 219 yards with a touchdown. He averaged 8.8 yards per pass attempt and had 41 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Notre Dame fell to 5-2 with their 33-20 road defeat at Louisville. The Fighting Irish rushed for only 44 yards for less than two yards a carry. They allowed 185 yards rushing to the Cardinals on 40 carries with 145 passing on 24 pass attempts.
