Sam Houston St at FIU 7:30PM ET—Sam Houston St fell to 5-2 following their 31-14 home defeat to Western Kentucky. The Bearkats gained 400 yards with 165 rushing for 4.8 yards a carry. On defense they allowed 411 yards to the Hilltoppers with 281 passing on 30 attempts. Hunter Watson completed 6 of 9 for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for 37 yards. Watson is questionable with an injury. Jase Bauer relieved and hit 12 of 22 for 106 yards and an interception. He ran for 41 yards. FIU drops to 2-5 after their 30-21 road defeat to UTEP. The Golden Panthers gained 287 yards with 85 rushing for 2.6 yards a carry. Defensively they allowed 272 yards to the Miners with 211 rushing for 4.6 yards a carry. Keyone Jenkins went 7 of 11 for 73 yards with a touchdown and interception. He was banged up in the game last week, but head coach Mike Macintyre informed the media that he would be available to play.
