In their opener they traveled to an upstart Georgia Tech team and came away with the 22-21 road win. Michigan St transfer quarterback Rocky Lombardi threw two touchdowns in the win. Wyoming is an experienced team that finished at 2-4 in 2020. The offense produced 26.4 points per game a year ago and struggled converting third downs at 30.3% which was 117th in the nation. Quarterback Sean Chambers who played in eight games in 2018 could only complete 43% of his throws and played in one game last year before getting hurt.
