Florida vs. USF—College football pick is Florida Gators -28.5. Tough to back USF after their poor showing in their opener to NC State losing 45-0. They could only gain 271 yards on the Wolfpack defense while surrendering 524 yards to a mid-tier ACC team. This is a program that brough back seventeen starters. Second year head coach Jeff Scott is in a rebuild process which may take a year of two. They don't have the talent to compete with the Gators. This was a 1-8 team that only beat The Citadel last year in their opener so the losing streak is up to nine straight. They were 125th in the nation in scoring defense allowing 44.1 points per game and allowed 51.2% conversions on third down. Offensive side of the football about as worse. Florida opened their season with a 35-14 win to a good defensive team in FAU. They were able to pile up 553 yards on the Owls running for 400. USF surrendered 293 yards rushing to NC State on 40 carries which amounted to 7.3 yards per rush. Now they face a better team in this spot. Play Florida -28.5.
