Coastal Carolina an experienced team returning nineteen starters from last year including their starting quarterback. As one of the better mid-major teams the goal is to make a New Year's Bowl and with that the need to run up scores on national television even this early in the season. They met last year in Kansas with Coastal Carolina winning 38-23. Defensively in 2020 the Chanticleers surrendered 14 points or greater in all but one game. Even Citadel last week scored 14 on Coastal Carolina. Kansas earned a win for first year head coach Lance Leipold who came over from Buffalo. This offense will be better under North Texas transfer Jason Bean who had two touchdown passes last week. At home Chanticleers will run up the points and Kansas gets enough too to get this one over.
