We saw the Utes defense digress in 2020 surrendering 26 points and 365 yards per game. San Diego St is a defensive style team. They are 2-0 after their 38-14 win at Arizona last week. In that win the Aztecs moved the football for 454 yards with 271 on the ground for 4.9 yards per rush. Aztecs starting quarterback Jordon Brookshire missed practice early this week with a foot injury. A change may be better as Brookshire was completing only 48.6% on the year. Lucas Johnson a Georgia Tech transfer would start is Brookshire can't. He posted more accurate numbers than Brookshire the past two seasons. Utes quarterback Charlie Brewer completed only 57.7% of his throws to BYU with 5.7 yards per rush against. Baylor program took a step back in his time with the Bears program. Play San Diego St +9.
