Should the Church Engage Culture

Should the Church Engage Culture

Welcome to the Unshakable Shepherds Podcast. I'm Michael Morisi with Shane Bost. Friends…. We are living in a time when truth is being questioned, morality is being redefined, and the foundations of society are being shaken. Many pastors and churches are wrestling with a critical question: Should the Church engage culture, or should we simply preach the Gospel and stay out of the cultural conversation? Today we're going to tackle that question head-on. My answer is simple. The Church must never become political, but neither can it become silent. Jesus never called His people to retreat from the world. He called us to influence it. "You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." (Matthew 5:13-14) Salt only works when it touches what is decaying. Light only works when it enters darkness. The question is not whether culture will be influenced. The question is whether it will be influenced by truth or by deception. Connect with us at unshakableshepherds.com
