Episode 9: Finding a Sense of Belonging

Episode 9: Finding a Sense of Belonging

On the podcast this week, we have our first guest joining us. My friend and colleague, Corey Rothermel, and I discuss all things shamanic.

We start by receiving animal medicine that Corey brings in with him. Corey is a beautiful storyteller and shares his hero's journey including:

  • initiation: an early experience with the mystery and unknown that shaped his curiosity as well as growing up as a gay kid in rural Pennsylvania and the sense of isolation and not belonging

  • threshold moment: his dark night of the soul and asking for a sign that was given to him immediately, restoring and strengthening his faith

  • reclamation: the Burdache Native American concepts for gender and the beautiful term two spirit, which led to his knowing that he does belong and has a sacred place and role in this world

We learn about Corey's experiences with parapsychology, how shamanism has influenced his life and deepened his connection with Creator, and being present with nature as a teacher.

We discuss the direct connection you can have through shamanic journeying and Corey shares his first journey experience which brought healing to his core wounding of not belonging.

Finally, Corey guides us through a process to connect with the wisdom of our highest self.

This episode is full of magical moments, wisdom, and heart expansion. You won't want to miss this transmission.
